Sonnet in the Sky
The Sun is gone.
Shattered into rays of despair
once betrayed by his love at dawn
whose dispassion led to sordid affair.
His love, Cloud of Rain,
was wrapped very lush around another.
This horrid sight brought everlasting pain
for in his arms was Moon, the Sun’s brother.
Stars tittered about this sight,
while the Sun’s brilliant heat diminished,
and Moon cried out in tremendous delight -
his black soul pleased by Sun’s disappearance.
But wait - there in darkness Comets dwell
who drag Moon to fiery pits of hell.
